Enabling Independence Program
Meet Collin, an individual who is working to make their home more accessible and enhance their independence with the help of a grant from the Cal Rehab Foundation.
This grant will help modify their living space to better accommodate their mobility needs, including widening doorways, remodeling the bathroom for easier access, and adding features that support daily tasks like personal care. These changes will create a more accessible environment for him, allowing greater independence in their day-to-day life.
Simple modifications, like a roll-in shower or an accessible sink, can make a huge difference in empowering individuals to manage their own care and continue pursuing their goals with confidence.
